The sun's first rays: The deep, red-pink and coral tones in the yarn represent the moment when the sun breaks through the horizon and casts its warm light over the earth.
The fresh morning air: Between the glowing colors, I have added very light, delicate peach transitions. They capture the dewy freshness and crispness that the song describes – the feeling of a completely clean, untouched day that lies ahead of us.

The lyrics were originally written as a children's hymn in 1931 by Eleanor Farjeon, who was asked to create a song of gratitude for nature and each new day. The melody was borrowed from an old Gaelic folk song called Bunessan from the Scottish Isle of Mull.
But it wasn't until 1971, when Cat Stevens took the song into the studio and added the legendary, flowing piano playing, that the song became the global hit we all know and love today.
