Your new leaf buttons are crafted from polymer clay – a durable and lightweight material that won't weigh down your knitting. To preserve the buttons' fine details and colors for many years, we recommend the following when washing:

Hand wash is best: We always recommend hand washing your homemade knitted project. This is the gentlest method for both the yarn and your handmade buttons.

Machine wash: If you choose to machine wash (e.g., on a wool program), you should always turn the knitwear inside out and use a laundry bag. This protects the buttons from hitting the drum or other items.

Avoid high temperatures: Always wash at low temperatures (max 30°C). Polymer clay tolerates water, but extreme heat can affect the material over time.

No tumble dryer: Lay your knitwear flat to dry. The tumble dryer is too harsh on both yarn and clay buttons.

A little tip from the workshop: Since each button is uniquely handmade and sanded, they may have slight variations in the surface. This is part of the charm of genuine craftsmanship!
